Overview

        These images come from photographs handed down over the years to the descendants of Cattaraugus County, New York families. Although many surnames are represented, as noted below, the majority of the pictures are from the Newton and Benson families of the Town of Mansfield and later the Village of Little Valley. Where are the original photographs?

As of June 2008, most of the photographs are in the possession of Myron Lyman Newton, Jr. A few photos are in the possession of his first cousin, Nancy Newton McClelland. Myron has scanned images of all the photos.
